About the library

Our library, as it exists today, was formed by the merging of the School of Architecture Library with the Danish Design School Library
and the Library of the National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance in spring 2011.
The joint institution is a public research library as well as a documentation and knowledge centre, covering the fields of architecture, design, theatre and contemporary dance.

Everyone interested can access and borrow from our collections or use the library as a meeting spot on Holmen.

We offer:
- two kilometres' books and journals
- more than 130 subscriptions on international journals
- DVDs
- electronic resources
- graduation projects
- competition entries
- Dansk Byplanlaboratorium's (i.e. the Danish Town Planning Institute's) library
- a bookshop
- a lounge called 'Mellemrummet' (the space in between)
- hot drinks
- exhibitions
- a colour copier and scanners
- free Wi-Fi

The library staff are 13 employees and 8 student workers.
In addition to our daily tasks we manage:
