What does Kun adgang fra KA's pc'er / Evt. fjernadgang for tilmeldte lånere mean?
The Kun adgang fra KA's pc'er / Evt. fjernadgang for tilmeldte lånere icon next to a database means that restrictions to access outside the library apply. Some of these databases, however, can be used via remote access by School of Architecture students and employees. You need to sign up separately to be able to use this service. What does DBL mean?
DBL stands for Dansk Byplanlaboratorium, whose library was taken over by our library in 2007. The DBL collection is now kept at our closed stacks but can be searched and ordered via the Library Catalogue. Generally, you should be able to collect the requested item after 3pm the following day.

What does DHS mean?
DHS stands for Department of Human Settlements. DHS is a part of the Institut for Planlægning at the School of Architecture and focuses on city planning in the third world. If you want to borrow DHS's materials, you can either consult the information desk for assistance or call DHS directly at +45 32 68 66 43 to make an appointment. You need to be a registered user at the library to be able to borrow DHS materials. 

What does FMAG mean?
FMAG refers to materials that are kept in our closed stacks and need to be ordered. The requested items can generally be picked up at the library after 3pm the following day.

What does "remote access" mean ?
"Remote access" means that you can access some of our licensed databases from home. You need to be a School of Architecture student or employee and registered separately to use this service. Read more about remote access

What is my pin-code?
All users are given a pin-code upon registration. The staff cannot see the pin-code. It is, however, possible to change your pin-code at the information desk if you can present a valid picture ID.

Borrowing period?
Books can be borrowed for one month; journals, graduation projects and DVDs for two weeks.

Can everyone use the library?
Our library is a public library and everyone above 18 years of age can register as a user.

Do I have to pay for photocopies?
Yes. The prices are: 

black/white A4  1 kr. 
  A3 2 kr.
colour A4 5 kr. 
  A3  10 kr. 

Are KADK students automatically registered at the library?
No, there is no automatic registration. New students at KADK are requested to register as a user at the library like erveryone else.
