

Remote access to databases and electronic resources
Our libray provides access to approximately 40 electronic resources and online databases. Some are marked with , which means that access outside the library is restricted.
School of Architecture students and employees can sign up for remote access to some of these databases.
Remote access means that you can login to the respective database without being on campus - for example from home.
At the moment, we can provide remote access to the following eight databases:
- Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals. Contains references to articles in more than 700 international journals on architecture.
- DAAI - Design and Applied Arts Index. References to articles and book reviews in more than 500 international design journals.
- Ebrary Academic Complete. Access to more than 10,000 academic books, journals and reports. Moreover, ebrary contains a collection of maps.
- Britannica Online. The most extensive electronic resource in English. Amongst other things, you can access more than 120,000 articles searchable according to subject or alphabet, a dictionary with definitions, an up-to-date world map as well as audio and video clips.
- Infomedia. Infomedia provides full-text access to more than 9 million articles from 35 Danish newspapers and news media.
- Jstor. Digital archive of more than 1000 academic journals and other schorlaly content. Articles in full text, primary sources, images, posters etc.
- Ordbogen.com. Contains a number of dictionaries, among others: English/Danish/English, Swedish/Danish/Swedish, German/Danish/German, French/Danish/French. Daily updates. ( Click on: 'Login via åbent netværk', click on WAYF, choose Kunstakademiets Arkitektskole on the list.)
- Stanford Encyklopedia of Philosophy. Dynamic reference tool covering philosophy in more than 600 elaborated articles with comprehensive bibliographies.
How do I gain access?
You only need to fill in the resepective form at the information desk. It takes approximately five days to install your remote access. Then you only need to log in to DEFF's homepage to access the databases.
Students of the Danish Design School and the National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance can use our electronic resources at the library.
